Zinc Carbonate, with the chemical formula ZnCO3, is a significant ore of zinc that occurs naturally as granular or earthy masses and is also known as smithsonite, calamine, or zinc spar . It is a white crystalline powder that is colorless and transparent in its pure form, but it may be colored by the presence of impurities such as iron, manganese, copper, etc. .
