Product Description
xanthan gum
CAS 11138-66-2
Xanthan gum can be widely used in more than 20 industries, including petroleum extraction, chemical industry, food, medicine, agriculture, dyes, ceramics, papermaking, textiles, cosmetics, construction, and explosive manufacturing, among more than 100 products.
For the convenience of storage and transportation, it is generally made into dry products. It has different drying methods: vacuum drying, drum drying, spray drying, fluidized bed drying and airflow drying. Fluidized bed drying with inert balls is suitable for drying thermosensitive viscous materials such as xanthan gum due to its enhanced heat and mass transfer, as well as grinding and crushing functions, resulting in shorter material retention time.
As an emulsifying stabilizer and thickener, it is regulated in China to be used for noodles, pastries, biscuits, shortening, instant coffee, fish products, ice cream, popsicles, and ice cream
Used to enhance and improve the stability, concentration, and density of seasonings, sauces, canned pudding, frozen foam milk, etc.
Also used for biochemical research in oilfield drilling applications. Stabilizers and emulsifiers for food, non food, and cosmetics.
The production method involves using a fermentation medium containing sugars (such as glucose, sucrose, starch, hydrolyzed starch, etc.), in the presence of suitable nitrogen sources, dipotassium dihydrogen phosphate, and appropriate amounts of trace elements. The fermentation is carried out by the action of a strain of Xanthomonas campestris, followed by subsequent extraction, drying, and crushing processes.
