Product detail:
Name: Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil
CAS: N/A
Feature:
Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil is an additive placed in powdered or granulated materials, such as table salt or confectioneries, to prevent the formation of lumps (caking) and for easing packaging, transport, flowability, and consumption. Caking mechanisms depend on the nature of the material. Crystalline solids often cake by formation of liquid bridge and subsequent fusion of microcrystals. Amorphous materials can cake by glass transitions and changes in viscosity. Polymorphic phase transitions can also induce caking. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil is that coating that contains drying oils. Once this coating is applied it reacts with oxygen and the basic film-forming process occurs, converting the wet film into a solid film.
Some anticaking agents function by absorbing excess moisture or by coating particles and making them water-repellent. Calcium silicate (CaSiO3), a commonly used anti-caking agent, added to e.g. table salt, absorbs both water and oil.
Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil can be used in a food additive. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil is also used in non-food items such as road salt, fertilisers, cosmetics, synthetic detergents, and in manufacturing applications.
Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil has the following applications/functions:
1. The hydrophobic molecules in Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil tend to be non-polar and therefore more soluble in neutral and non-polar solutions (eg organic solvents). Therefore Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil has hydrophobic properties.
2. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil can keep dust out.
3. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil can act synergistically with talc.
4. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil is easy to handle.
5. Coating oil; Anticaking agent prevents objects from chemically reacting with other ingredients.
6. Coating oil; Anticaking agent delays the rate at which objects dissolve in water and other liquids
7. Coating oil; Anticaking agent also can mask bad taste and odor.
8. Coating oil; Anticaking agent oil is used as a coating base to protect the adhesion of surface paint for industrial equipment and infrastructure.
