Liposomal L Glutathione is an antioxidant in plants, animals, fungi, and some bacteria and archaea. Glutathione is one of the body's most powerful detoxifiers. Liposomal L Glutathione is capable of preventing damage to important cellular components caused by reactive oxygen species such as free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides, and heavy metals. It is a tripeptide with a gamma peptide linkage between the carboxyl group of the glutamate side chain and cysteine. The carboxyl group of the cysteine residue is attached by normal peptide linkage to glycine.
Liposomal L Glutathion is the active state that is able to neutralize free radicals in the body. Liposomal L Glutathion refers to glutathione that has undergone a special process that encapsulates the glutathione molecule inside of a lipid.
Liposomal L Glutathion has the following applications/functions:
1. Known as the master antioxidant, Liposomal L Glutathione is the body's primary mechanism for neutralizing free radicals. An imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants can cause oxidative stress. Maintaining a healthy level of antioxidants is important in supporting many healthy body functions.
