Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat signs and symptoms caused by certain types of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and for short-term pain relief. It is also used to treat menstrual pain and is available under various brand names including Orudis, Oruvail, Actron, and Orudis KT. Ketoprofen works by blocking substances in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever .

The drug is supplied in different dosage forms, including oral capsules (25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg) and extended-release oral capsules (200 mg). It is recommended to store ketoprofen at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light .

Common side effects of ketoprofen may include upset stomach, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gas, heartburn, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness.
