Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is a tertiary amine having trivalent groups attached to three hydrocarbon groups in the molecule. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is very versatile, it can be used as a component of formulated products, and it can also be used as an intermediate product for various special chemical derivatives. It is an important intermediate for the preparation of dialkyl quaternary ammonium salts. Contact with it may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It may be toxic if ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is used in the manufacture of other chemicals.
Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is toxic. Inhalation, ingestion or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may be corrosive and/or toxic and cause pollution.
Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines has the following applications/functions:

1. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines can be used as an intermediate for surfactants, and it is also a chemical intermediate for quaternary ammonium salts.
2. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines can be used for ammonium derivatives and betaines. It  also can be used as amine oxides which are used for cosmetics and textiles.
3. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines can be used as acid scavenger and epoxy resin curing agent in gasoline. It can also be used as a catalyst for the manufacture of flexible polyurethane foams.
4. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is used as a flocking agent for wool and rabbit hair fabrics, and has the functions of sterilization, retardation and decolorization of fabrics.
5. Bis- (Hydrogenatedtallow- alkyl) methylamines is used in organic synthesis, resin modification, crosslinking agent of superabsorbent, intermediate of ion exchange resin, etc.
